Some old friends have recently moved to Toronto. They made arrangements to come visit the last weekend in March. Our place is tiny( sucks) , i'm looking for ideas for the weekend ? We're active 40 somethings with kids. 12y\o girl 11girl, 12 boy, and 5 y\ o girl. The weather looks iffy at best. They are staying at a hotel in Rochester friday night. Driving back to Toronto Saturday. I was thinking maybe roc science center and dinner ? Maybe the buffalo zoo on Saturday. Don't have many ideas that would appeal to teenage girls. Maybe a drive to letchworth if the weather cooperates ? 8 people in a duplex isn't going to work.

If the weather does seem ok, the scultpure park is a blast. It'll be a messy hike this time of year. You could also check out the Birchfield Penny and the Albright Knox in Buffalo.

Strong Museum of Play is the "no brainer" MAJOR first choice.
BONUS: It even has a reef aquarium... but it's great even if it weren't there!
The butterfly conservatory inside is usually nice and warm.

Buffalo Zoo ONLY if weather is nice.

Rochester Museum Science Center 50/50.
Albright Knox ... my Dad took as kids and surprisingly it was a good experience.

Don't know if Toronto has a planetarium but Rochester does....

+1!

My kids, as well as my older nieces and nephews always enjoy going there, especially to check out the reef aquarium!

Dinosaur BBQ for dinner , but defiantly call ahead, gets busy fast!

Audubon society is having an owl prowl Saturday night. Probably depends on your definition of fun, but something new for most people

Sundowners got nixed, no passports. Children's museum is a nightmare with my childrens. 12 y\o and 5 y\o have much different agendas. My thoughts were to keep the girls happy and maybe sneak off to a pub. My boy is getting too cool, i'm clueless when it comes to eleventeen year old girls. Mall ? Spa? Keeping the gang together would be nice, i dunno. I like the art gallery idea. The weather looks poopy. Dinosaur or sticky lips should work. They use to be power drinkers, kids and triathlons may have slowed that down. Maybe a big nasty ny fish fry or garbage plate. The ladies both served in the miltary, cold , wet, and dirty is not going to be a easy sale.
