Chris- My '78 Strat looked exactly like that....Man I miss that guitar. My newer Strat plays like crap compared to my '78. Its a heavy one, isnt it?

Yeah, I didn't realize it till I picked up James's and it felt light. The only drawback to that guitar is it has a three bolt neck.

I was trying to learn. I gave it up. I had an American Strat deluxe about 5 years back. I also had a really nice tube amp. Learning yourself and or with an awful teacher is no fun!

If I try again, I want a 72 Strat (year I was born)

I took lessons for about a year from Mike E's in LaVergne. The teacher was actually pretty good. Taught me alot. And once a month would teach me a song I wanted to know. I should have stuck with it...but I like playing the drums better. I still mess around with my acoustic and have a epi dot (gibson 335 copy), I almost bought a gibson 335, glad I didnt because it would be sitting in its case like the Epi.
