Rockers! Show us what u Got! (pic intense)

Awsome... Very nice Guitar... Yes I noticed the ...

My lessons were at a place in Smyrna, the teacher wanted me to teach him to manage most of the time. I would have liked to be taught more about playing the guitar for the money i was spending.

reewik, was it Jonathin Fletchers music? I only been in there a couple of times. What I liked about Mike E's was the teacher, I think his name was Wayne King. Can't really remember its been about 4-5 years. He would actually teach you stuff and not give you a piece of sheet music with mary had a little lamb and tell you to go home and practice. He had me playing stairway to heaven within the first couple months. I should swing in there and see if he is still there an try to pick up where we left off.

Hi All,
Here is a picture of my new gear, Musicman sterling natural with rosewood neck, ampeg 4x12 cabinet, ampeg SVP-PRO pre-amp, QSC RMX2450 (2400 watts bridged) I am using it at 750 watts at 4 ohms

I will be playing rockabilly with Billy Adams. If you guys don't know who he is, he is a member of the rockabilly hall of fame and I may be going on tour to the UK and many other places in both the USA and aboard. (On the road again)

Hey Joe! Good to see you on the boards.

Brent and I love rockabilly, though honestly Brent is more into psychobilly (in a big way).

What I want to see is a picture of you with that band you used to play with. I can't remember who it was...the really famous one. That's what I want to see! hah hah.

hehehe, Nice to see another Sterling out there! You'll love the thing, mine is INCREDIBLE!!
I put a set of slightly thicker (50-105 Regular Slinkies) on it to tighten up the slack a bit, and now it's relly snappy and tight, the way I like it! It's great for fingerplucking right down by the bridge for really percussive, driving stuff!

I dig your rig, man! I'm saving up for either an Ampeg SVT-5 Pro or an Eden WT-1200, and I'm pretty sure I'll go with an Eden 410 XLT and 115XLT for speakers. It makes me all giddy just thinking about how powerful and good that rig will sound!

Awesome on getting that gig, too!

I just bought two super cheapo ($30 apiece new) Dinosaur acoustics for us to learn on. I just hope that since it is so cheap that it doesn't make learning more difficult...

I have had these guitars awhile. The Epiphone acoustic I got for christmas about 10 years ago. Then I got the epiphone dot (335 copy) in 2001 and started taking lessons. I then decided I wanted a acoustic/electric and went with a springfield. I took lessons for about a year and gave up.

I just got this last week and I love it. It's a 5 piece SONOR fusion set (black sparkle) with Sabian cymbals. I really like the setup. It has been so long since I've played, but I'm getting it back. When I was 13, I had an old 7 piece ludwig set that was just horrible. It was in such bad shape. They was banged up and all chrome was rusted. They was given to me and I learned to play on them. I'm no pro drummer but I like to play.

How does that jumbo sound in that pic steve? Friend of mine had a j-100 that was the sweetest sounding acoustic i've ever heard. Better than any other j-100, j-200, taylor, martin, you name it. It absolutely sparkled, even with flat strings.

Richard the first thing my son (130) said is,"Is he selling that?" He's a bass player also and wants a 5 string so bad, he got to play with a hand made 5 string at church the other night and almost didn't let it go.

Old thread...

But I wanted to show off my basses. Plus I'm sure we have some new members who probably never seen this thread and might wanna post pics of their gear...

My 2 basses

The sunburst is a 03 American Fender Precision bass

The black is a Squier body, cloth wired, US pickups, fully copper shielded, and 08 American PBass neck...

My 62 and 57 wannabe's  I really like the vintage look.....and they both play nice...

Nice, man. I really dig the black body with butterscotch pickguard. :)

I'm currently revamping my rig, mainly with effects. I'm probably going to sell some stuff to pickup a Line 6 M13 soon. Along with some other pedals and probably rack them all up and control them with a DMC Ground Control and GCX. :)

I currently play through a late-60's Selmer Treble 'n Bass MkIII that I LOVE! I'm using a Weber MASS so I can crank it up and get some awesome distortion without killing myself. :D It, along with the 15w little amp I built, are going through my Bogner 2x12. Hands down the best cabinet I've ever played through. I absolutely freaking love it! I did, however, put a hole in the grill cloth the other day. I about had a heart attack and I'm still going through a grieving process. :(

On the bottom of those amps is my Hughes and Kettner Triamp. Absolutely AMAZING amp I regret selling BIG TIME. I'll pickup another one eventually. Its the amp Alex Lifeson uses now... he even has a signature model. :)

You can also see my then "almost ready to go" tank! :)

And my small but slowly growing collection of vintage tubes:

I picked up the bass because of my love for Motown. So when I met Bob Babbitt and he invited me to the after party after the musicians hall of fame ceremony (Motowns Funk Brothers was inducted) just really motivated me to stick with it. My playin' isn't the best, but I think I have come along way, just been playin' a year now.

I play through the Line 6 gear box. It hooks to the computer. It gives you all kind of amps and effects. You can record too. I tried takin' a stab at Freda Paynes "Band of Gold". Bob Babbitt played bass on the record. My recording doesn't sound that great because I had to turn the bass up to try and play over Bob's part. But you can still get an idea. My bass stops at 2:23.
