Here is what my RO setup looks like. The flow restrictor has a valve on it. I can open it up all the way or close it all the way. I'm not sure where to set it up at. Any ideas?
Mine doesn't have an adjustable flow restrictor.it just has a little piece that goes in one of the tubes but I can't remember where. I have a valve that looks like that on the input side of mine so I can shut the water to the unit off to change cartridges.

Pretty sure that's the flush line.
RO Membrane flush kits increase the flow to the membrane by bypassing the flow restrictor. This helps flush deposits and increase the usable life of the RO membrane. BulkReefSupply.com recommends flushing the membrane before and after each use or every few weeks as part of regular reverse osmosis system maintenance.
i once installed a flow restrictor in the waste line it was a small piece that fit in the waste tube like 3" or 4" long it would make my 50 gallon a day a 75 gallon a day ...so I would think install it on the waste line...I would call John or Chris
