I have heard that he is talking to a couple different stores but I would still go to Him for it
Btw its the only foor I feed my tank too

Gotta watch that Rod's Food, when ever I go to get some, I always seem to come home with frags of something. The wife thinks you get the food thrown in when you by some corals. . . I'm not gonna tell her.

Not sure what his exact plans are for the food at this time, but for now it still remains a nice treat for local reefers and reefers willing to make the drive out. You should take a trip out, there's nothing like hanging out at rod's aka "The Mad Scientists'" shop!

I will do a group buy if theres enough interest and bring it to Boling brook for pickup just let me know and I will see how much time Rod will need to get it together.any reason is a good reason to visit Rod

As craftytony said, it is an extra treat for folks willing to make the drive out to his shop. He won't be selling any extras for folks to bring back to others. He makes little to no profit on his food. I wouldn't be surprised not to see it on LFS shelves anytime soon.

Itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s worth the trip for the food alone but I seem to always find something else while I am at Rods. I live in the Midway airport area and find that Rodââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Reef is really not any different as far as the time it takes in getting there than any of the other LFSââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s I frequently visit. It takes me a hour no matter who I visit.

Well if you are just window shopping then I can't be blame for that Tony, besides it was the least I could do after you took the plate coral I wanted...lol...

:D

Rod's food is terrific. However, since his production cost is high, I doubt that he would sell at the list price for a group buy. This is sort of a loss leader to get people into his shop and a group buy would defeat that purpose. I bought a quantity but voluntarily paid over the normal price for it. It it were to sell at LFS, it would likely go for $30 per package. In my opinion, it would be well worth it.
