Rod's Onyx

As requested. They're starting to hang out near my xenia, I'm guessing they'll use it as a "nest" and home for a while. I just fed a blend of stuff I use to feed my 45g tank, and they were picking and eating at some of the stuff, so that's good. Hopefully they won't be too fussy come dinner times! I guess I'm supposed to feed them like 3 times a day to get them to grow?

why do your clowns have frowns on their faces? I thought Rod's clowns were HAPPY clowns?

those pics make you onyx's look the size of pitbulls! I can only hope that my less expensive onyx's catch up w/ the black.. one can only hope. I've heard that some of it has to do w/ nutrition, but I'm no genious so I have no idea. I've been feeding some BBS, crushed ORA Glo, and other frozen foods.

I couldn't get him to ship the rod's food w/ the fish, frozen food, warm water.. I got it. It's just ordering that stuff from online suppliers is way outta control for shipping, even though it doesn't need to get here over night now that it's freezing in most northern states! Oh well, maybe one day I'll make it to a city w/ a store that actually sells it. Until then I'll use BBS, frozen cyclops, and crushed ORA Glo (which is what I read somewhere that ORA uses to darken up their b/w occellaris)

Great lookin clowns by the way.. I wish I could take sharp pics like that, mine always turn out gritty. The price I pay for being cheap w/ my camera selection.

Are any of your clowns turning red instead of orange?

Mine are still itty bitty, but look reddish, especially next to picassos. The picassos look almost yellow with a bit of orange.

Is this okay? I hope so because I like it.

yes sugartooth that is the beauty of rods they look red compared to anything else

Are Rod's clowns considered true percs or Ocellaris clowns? When you look at the type of Nem's that might host them, where do you start?

Well...i wanted to post a pick of my RODS Onyx Clowns....
I won these two in a xmas raffle this past holiday

Rod said they are 8-9 months old.
Picked them up this past weekend, (01-12-08).......5 days in my 120g.
