Roger I need a replacement pump

Hey Roger my skimmer pump just went out on my reefpack 500. How do I purchase a new skimmer pump and how much is it? I am not sure which one it is in the catalog.

The full pump is the 9005.040 ($158.89). How old is it? What are the symptoms, fully seem dead? If you just need the motor block, part 9005.015 it is $57.04.

I dont really know. I came home and the skimmer wasn't producing bubbles. I broke down the system thinking it was cloged but nothing. The pump is bearly working. No bubbles at are are being produced. If I remove the cup it looks like boiling water no small bubbles at all.

Is it pumping water at a high rate instead of an air/water mixture?

well when I took the pump out of the fixture and inspected it, it was pumping with about a 2-3" water spout height. when I put it back together I get no air water mixture. So I assumed the pump was pumping insufficiently. The Air line was connected at both ends and clear of blockage. I blew through it to be sure.

Can you send me the pump? We can likely get this fixed at no charge, they do have a 2 year warranty. In the meantime your tank should be fine, it will only take 2 weeks max with back and forth shipping and if you just run some carbon and do a couple 10% water changes in the meantime, you should be fine.
