Roger`s Lagoon

love the video, what was the song?!

Looks great!!!

How do you keep the tank so clean?! Did you start with Live rock or dry rock?

Just a beautiful tank. Thanks for the video.

Thanks, everyone:)

The song in the video is by Ryan Farish and is called "open sky".

I have a sandsifting seastar, and a sandsifting yellow spotted goby. Scrape the glass for algae once or twice a week. And have as much random flow to eleminate dead spots and I skim quite wet. I use carbon and rowaphos in filtersocks in the sump. That works for me on keeping the tank clean.

Galaxe

Galaxe

Tonight I delivered my "big" Galaxea to my local fishstore. They will use it in their new showtank.
Since I will change my aquascape and it is a big lps that stings my sps, I had to let it go.... sad, since I think its a fantastic coral.

Here you can see it in a big bucket (25kg reef crystals bucket). Not much room left:)

Now I can start on changing my aquascape...;) I`m happy with the left side, but need to create something different on the right side, so time will show...

Your tank is so beautiful I can't imagine redoing the aquascape. But I understand getting rid of the LPS

Well, I`m happy with the left side, but I will change the right side. I need more space for sps, and I need to move some corals to make them happy... But I think it will look better this way... I have a plan;)

Your tank is immaculate. I hope to get there someday :)

You stated that you skim wet. Could you supply a pic of what your collection cup normally looks like?

Yes, I had a period of little cyano, did change around with the flow in the tank and started skimming kinda wet... that worked for me.
Now the skimmate has a light brown color and a touch of green if I feed heavier somedays.
I will try to rember to take a pic the next time I clean it. Just did so there is not much to show at the moment:)

Banggai:)

Banggai:)

Came home from work today, and found several of these guys swimming around in my tank:)

Sorry, for such a bad pic, but it was hard to take a good pic.
To the right you can barely see two 12mm Banggai Cardinal fry swimming. I see several of these around, and in my sump and overflow box.

I don`t expect these to survive, but I must admit that I really think this is fun. They spawned 24 days ago, so I was expecting something to happen one of the days to come.

Happy reefing!

Milliput friday!!

Milliput friday!!

Yes, the day has come... I am changing the right side of my reef tank.
I am not really happy about how it turned out, and I need more space for sps. Now I cross my fingers for it to turn out like I have visualized:)

Going to work..
