I'm fascinated by room divider tanks. My next tank will be a room divider - visible through both long sides and down one end. I'm looking to get more ideas, so if anyone has any pictures of their room divider, please show!!!!!

One of the tanks that I've come across in recent months is July's Tank of the Month. The entire article is here but here are a few of the images from that article:

jdieck - That aquarium is beautiful! I'm checking out your website right now.

Gary - how do you like having no canopy? I've seen tanks like this and it's interesting to see how the owners keep it clean looking (without pvc and wires going everywhere). How did you hide your return lines?

You may want to check the link to the Reefkeeping Magazine article on the tank.

Well, we started off with very large, established tanks. I'd love to see some smaller, newly-built tanks as well!

I don't miss having a canopy. My light hood is suspended with height adjustable PFO cables. Instead of running return lines above the aquarium I ran the return lines inside the aquarium. They're tucked up under the edges right along the waterline.

Do you have any pictures of the return lines? I'm looking at the picture you posted and you did a really good job of hiding them!

Wow - that looks well-though-out! This is exactly the kind of things I'm looking for - how to hide the necessities.

jdieck, what kind of valve is that on your return line? I might have missed it on the link you provided...

Here's mine, 70-gallon dividing living room and kitchen. This is before aquascaping and a kitchen rehab. (I need more recent pics)

I access the tank from the kitchen side. I built a bookshelf into the light canopy, and have a sump and all the misc components under the tank in a cabinet. I'll need to take a newer pic for all that.

here's an original photo from 3 years ago.

As you could probably guess, there is always a "favorite side" that gets the better corals.

Driftin,

That is very cool, (not that the others arent as well....but this is small enough that I could possibly swing this past the wife. Could you please post more detailed pics?

Nick
