Unreal, I get home early to wait for my new toy, check the tracking number and it says the reciever refused for damage! No delivery attempt made to my address so I shoot off email to PA and call UPS. UPS is telling me possibly the driver saw the damage and didn't deliver it, if it was that damaged how did it get on the truck for delivery! This bites, I guess I have to wait for PA to reply to my messages and go from there.
 
I installed mine too. This thing is built like a rock!

Did I read somewhere that any microbubbles disappear as it breaks in, as there are a few coming out at this point. It is already starting to build up a nice cake of dense foam at the top of the neck.
 
Yeah, most skimmers will release a few microbubbles during break in, but they should disappear. I posted pics in the Alpha Vertex Club thread.

You might contact UPS and ask to inspect it. The way these things are packed, you would nearly have to run a truck over it to hurt it. My box was pretty dinged up on the outside, but it is completely bubblewrapped in 2 layers and then foamed in place.

PA contacted me already and they're sending another one, great customer service, UPS was still on the road when I talked to them so I won't find out anymore till tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up, looks like it'll all be good.

The new one should be on the way in a few minutes. And this one is double wrapped, with corner protection, and I had a young priest, and old priest bless it. It should be completely thrower proof. ;)

Great, thanks alot, no need to apologize it's all on the shipper, as long as it gets here undamaged it's all good.:D
 
I'm wondering why here isn't a user guide included. I know the setup is self explanatory but without a manual and without looking at the forums, you wouldn't know what that extra 58 tube is for and what's it's effect, and the optimal level of water should be. Same with what the extra tubes it came with are for.

Not a biggie but it would have been great if there's one included.

I do know that Royal-Exclusiv and Proline Aquatics are currently working on the manual for these skimmers. As soon as they are available we'll have a link posted to where you can download it.
