Royal-Exclusiv Alpha Cone - 170 / 200 / 300 Announcement & Pre-Orders!

First of all we like to apologize for the long wait on these & like to mention that in no way shape or form this is caused by any shortcoming from Premium Aquatics side, Jeremy has done his best to keep everyone informed but of course there are things that are out of his or our control.
The main issue was that this is all new development & all the parts for these skimmers are CNCed.
Since it is a new product no Parts were in stock & they all had to get milled from PVC.
Also the CNC has to be programmed to cut the specific piece which could be a timely process when you are talking about more than 15 pieces per skimmer , this has been all done so the next lots will be much faster.
Another reason Royal-Exclusiv was closed for summer holidays & they just got back to work on Monday.
We will talk to Klaus shortly to have a definite answer for you soon.
Once again our sincere apologies to all you that have been waiting patiently, Jeremy & premium Aquatics. We hope we can correct this situation shortly.
Regards
Proline Aquatics

Alpha 300 Footprint

Alpha 300 Footprint

I have many of you inquiring about the Alpha 300 footprint which I just got from Klaus today....

19" x 17" Footprint
27.25" Height

Has there been any resolution to the people that are seeing the pumps drawing higher power consumptions than claimed?

I have not heard anything. I will mention it to Proline and see if they can post back here. Right now my Alpha 200 is running at 40w today, and the Alpha 250 I have running is at 58w.

I believe it was just a few people claiming this. I know there is a thread in the Proline forum but havent seen any comment lately about a resolution.

wfgworks,

I think I remember Klaus posting something about the published draws being running the pumps at nearly perfect conditions and with no backpressure or head. The deeper you run your cone, the higher the head and therefore the higher the draw. Also, it will vary with the amount of air you are pulling. You might PM Klaus directly and ask him.

That's correct, there are a ton of different things that figure on how much wattage the pump is pulling. I have had the 250 running as low as 44, and as high as 65.

Hy Jeremy.

I´m from Brazil and actually have a Tunze 9440 running my 410Gal Reef.

Even considering this a very good Skimmer i´m thinking in upgrade it for a more powerfull one.

Do you think the Alpha 250 or Alpha 300 could mean an upgrade for my system ?

Best regards.

There isn't a user manual available yet, however if you have any questions please feel free to call me at 317-895-9005, or you can email me directly at jeremy@premiumaquatics.com. You can also ask questions on the Alpha skimmer club thread here in our forum as well.

Thanks,
Jeremy
