Royal-Exclusiv / Vertex Cone Coming Soon!!!!

We just got word from Royal-Exclusiv and Proline Aquatics this morning that there is a joint venture between Royal-Exclusiv and Vertex for a new cone skimmer that is currently on it's way to the US!

The skimmer will first be brought in to compete with the medium size ATB, pulling less wattage, and more air than what the ATB medium runs at. The entire cone is seamless, with a flat, no transition area surface, all the way up through the cup and to the top. The cone will be powered by a Red Dragon pump as well. The cup will be sealed by a similar o-ring to the Bubble King Mini's, and will be completely lift off just a the Mini's are, with no twisting needed.

This is essentially a Bubble King skimmer, made by Klaus himself, without the Bubble King name on it, only Royal-Exclusiv manuf. Pricing will definitely be lower than the ATB price, however final details of this have not been worked out yet.

Below is the only picture that we have as of yet. I will post more information as it is given to me, as well as a more definite ETA in the very near future! Preorders will be available.

I was told today that they should be landing right at 3 weeks, and we'll be able to ship in approximately 3.5 weeks.

There will be a smaller version available, and a total of four skimmers altogether. I do not have an arrival date on the small yet unfortunately. The ALPHA 250 is projected to be the hottest seller, which is why it's coming first.

As with any skimmer tank sizing is going to be dependent upon load. Having said that, a heavily stocked 250gal system should be fine for this skimmer.

I do not have optimal water depth just yet, as soon as I do I will post back.

The footprint will be right at 14.5" x 12". This spec is not guaranteed yet though, and I will get more info on exact footprint in the next couple of weeks. The clearance to remove the cup should be no more than approximately 1/4".
