RS232 Cable

I have experienced the same frustration with the RS232 cable.

I bought my ProfiLux Controller from Aqua-Digital a while back. When I bought it, I bought the USB option and it came without the RS232 cable.

Last week I decided to update my ProfiLux to Firmware vers. 4.0 and operating program 4.03. During the update my computer lost its connection with the USB port. I was forced to reinstall the system using the FMC16LX program. This can only be completed using the RS232 cable and the RS232 port. I was able to borrow a RS232 cable from one of my friends and complete the update. I feel that I should have an RS232 cable for future use if an emergency update becomes necessary again.

I am looking for an RS232 cable.

I suggested to the Aqua-Digital support that I would like to get an RS232 cable and was directed to my local dealer. In the last week I have sent him 2 E-mails asking for pricing for a RS232 cable. He has directed me to his site which I have let him know that the RS232 cable is not list.
I believe that those using the RSB option will still need the RS232 cable.

ALL future packs will be sent with an RS232 lead irrelevant whether the user states at time of purchase if they require it or not and whether they have an RS232 port on their PC.

If you lost miss laid, not had or just want an RS232 lead please contact us directly.

These are NOT free hand outs.

The only time a user would not have received an RS232 cable are if the user stated they did not have an RS232 port and upgraded to USB or it (only recently) has been back ordered, and we have a list of those two awaiting.

A user without an RS232 cable only requires one if they corrupt their unit on firmware update, so for daily running it is not a requirement and as such until now not been a standard pack item.

As we are very pro active this has now been changed for all Future packs.

The two back ordered cables will be sent out this week.
