hey MC, glad to hear from you , it has been a while, and YES, the hamilton fixsture fans are incredibly loud. Do you know, (or anyone else), what voltage those fans are, (12 or 120??)

I will change them out as soon I as I find out which one, as thy are the loudes thing on my tank.

those are 120v I am finally going to change mine out like I have been wanting to do for so long to 12vdc and then running a temp controller that can do variable speed

cool, let me know what fans you go with and how they work out for you, and I will follow your lead, or learn from your mistake.... (hopefully you pick a quiet one, especially if it is variable speed.

btw: Is the aquacontroller have a madule for that, and is it variable voltage output?? I think I read something abou tthat. Was it for lighting and not a fan and if so, would that make a difference??

I run t5 x8 at 54w each, atinics turn on at 2pm 10k at 3pm until midnight or 1am. then atinics 1 hour after 10K turns off
