S. bandensis growth rates

I picked up a couple of newly hatched baby cuttles at my LFS on Friday and they are doing very well. I am curious if someone who has raised babies before could post a growth rate approximation so I can make sure my little guys are growing well over the next several weeks. What size should I expect them to be at 1 month, 2 months, etc?

Thanks!
Nicole

did you buy them from aquatropics?

and at 1 month they should be a half an inch, at two months around an inch inch.5,.......

watch out they do grow fast and cant get about 4-5 inches in about 3 or 4 months, as well they need a tank of 25 gal or more for a single individual add ten pounds to that for each cuttle you plan to add. so if you wanted to have three cuttles you would need a 55 yal tank.

10 pounds?

Are these guys in the 2.5? That won't really work, cephs grow fast and die young

No, they are not in the 2.5. They are in a breeder net in the refugium of my main tank. I am aware of their space requirements.

Growth rate varies from individual to individual...
My 8-9 month old bandensis are 1.75 to 2.75 inches. This is mantle length. This is the oldest batch Ive had, so I have no other experience to compare to. They seem to grow fast in the beginning and then slow down some. Officianalis on the other hand grows incredibly fast! I feel I see a difference every couple days!!

Certain foods seem to affect growth rate. I notice the fastest growth rates with marine live shrimp. I also feed shore caught crabs and I used to throw a few guppies in once in a while, but after 2 mysterious deaths the day after guppy feedings, I dont use them anymore.
