So i was moving a haddoni that has been in the same tank for many months.. extremely sticky, tight closed mouth, foot attached.. while moving it and slowly getting the foot un attached it expelled the mouth. he does not normally do this i noticed that there were white strings coming out.. does this mean it is ripped on the inside? foot is not ripped at all.. i have had 3 H. Magnifica for 2 years + in a seperate tank and this has not happened before i have seen it on bta's though. i was just wondering how bad is this? what does it mean? also rite after the mouth closed up tight again and it was gone.. any help is appreciated.

i have had this exp., i was tearing down a tank, but the carpet did fine . did you just move it with in the same tank or move to a new home? where did you get your magnificas? i have been looking for one for a long time.

i moved it to a new system..

-- the H. Mags were purchased from LFS. all were purchased small in size at or about 2" to 6".. i believe aquiring a H. Mag when small is easier to care for, and adapt to aquarium life. two of them grem to about 12" in a year, and one was a monster and grew to almost 18" in the same time.. i do have pics in my gallery.

It is not unusual at all for a haddoni to push out its stomach when it has been removed from its attachment point. They usually recover quickly.
