?'s on my new Streams.

Roger,

Is there a best setting? Right now I'm running 2x6100 on a 7095 w/ interval two 100% and 30% every 30 sec and pulsing every 3 seconds. Is this okay? My tank is a 180 72x24x24.

For the nightmode, isn't it work automatically or do I need to push the button? And when it's on isn't the pumps supposed to slow down or I have to turn down manually?

Thanks a lot.

In night mode the pump goes to the settings on the lower knobs, so if that is 30%, that is night mode but if it is 100%, you will have full power all night. I would prefer to use Interval 2 mode with a 6 hr interval, it is more of a realistic simulation since the tide interval is 6hrs. Night mode is on when the LED next to night mode is on and then it is automatic as soon as the photocell is in dark.

Thanks Roger. So that's why when I hit night mode my 100% power setting never changed or dropped. That means I should run 80% for night mode to be auto? The night mode LED should be lit all the time then?

For the photocell, I cannot mount on my tank edge as detailed. Is there another way to mount?

For interval 2 at 6hrs what should the pulse be set at (if any)? I will change to 6hrs intervals tonight.

Thanks again, you're a huge help.

Just reverse your settings, top 100%, bottom 30%. You set the pulse the same for Interval 2. Why won't the photocell mount?

Oh, those two knobs are min and max. I get it now. Will try it out and let you know if there are any problems now.

Last questions - the nightmode led should be lit all the time then?

For the photocell - I don't have a lipedge to mount to attachement too. My tank has two large openings in the top and no side edging. I'll post a pic of my setup at lunch so you can see what I'm talking about.

One more thing, the streams bounce/wiggle around a lot when running (magnet attached). Is there a way to firmly keep from moving?

Thanks Roger! I never knew how good these pumps were until now. You sure are making the transition over much more understandable and easy. Thanks again.

Yes, the LED should be lit all the time.

The bracket has an option to mount it to a brace edge.

Just be sure the pump holder teeth are firmly meshed, they wobble more when new.

Interesting, the wobbling has actually lessened since I posted this. Thanks! So far I'm leaving night mode off. I want to run 100% all the time.

For placement, I put a stream on each side very close to the back corner for each one. They point directly over the reef to the front corner of the other side. Is this okay? Or do they need to point to the front of the tank more? Pictures in the manual for interval 1 and 2 indicate to point to the front.

Again, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks again Roger!

It is largely trial and error and what works for you but they generally recommend front center, this gives a broader flow that is more gentle as it deflects.
