Sailfin Thinks He's A Sohal!

Grizzled & Cynical
Only Tang I ever had that would actively try to slice my arm with it's tail scalpel was a Sohal I kept many years ago (and NEVER will again). But, lately, my Sailfin has been trying to do the same thing. Perhaps not with quite the same maniacal glee that the Sohal exhibited, but trying none-the-less. Sailfin is on the larger side, probably 7" give or take, but it took me by surprise. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I just added one last week with a brown powder tang and so far so good. They have behaved so far, keeping my fingers crossed the good behavior will continue

Mine would do that to me all the time and he would also do it to my lion fish. Not a smart move on his end. He impaled himself on the lion fishs spine and died later that Nite.

That's nuts, I rarely have my hand/arm in my tank so maybe that has something to do with it?

Me nether, fortunately. But I'm having to crop back a bunch of my SPS that has grown too large and the S.O.B keeps trying to back his scalpel into my arm while doing that 'fin shivering' thing.

I have no issues like that with my sailfin but my damsels are a different story. I just flick them and they go away.

I had a gem tang that wouldnt let me in the tank, prob 6 inch or so. I couldnt even put the coral claws (to pick over fallen stuff) in it would attack it.
