Salad Shrimp for mantis food...?

Okay, my peacock mantis won't eat silversides, pieces of prime reef... only salad shrimp.. (the real small frozen shrimp).. he seems to love those... He does seem to eat snails and he's been hacking away at a hermit crab that lives in the tank with him.. Is it okay to continue to feed him these salad shrimp? They are the cooked, shelled, de-tailed ones with no preservitaves...supposedly.. thanks for your help!

I have never had good luck using cooked shrimp. It would be better if you could by frozen raw shrimp. If it is pre-packaged, check the label to make sure that there aren't preservatives in it.
