Salt Water Mixing Stations Let's See Them

The masterflex is my topoff pump. The DI canister is on a closed loop fed by a ehiem 1260 pump and is used in case any ammonia makes it through my rodi (from chloramines). The water change water goes through the 1" valve through the wall and into the sump. It drains from the sump via a pump on a float switch. I am present for water changes but I don't have to do any labor. RODI system in furnace room.

Here is what I have thus far. Almost ready to move it to the basement and plumb the rest.

I am setting up my own water mixing/change system and I could use a little help.
I want to have a EB8 and a Break out box in the garage for my APEX. The mixing station will be about 30ft of cable away from the tank and APEX. Dose anyone know where I can find a 8 pin Mini Din and USB that long?

I am building my own breakout box so I could make a Mini Din cable. I see lots of the cable ends for sale but I am not sure what kind of cable to use.

Thanks for the help guys!

The guy in their chat said they only have 15ft in USB and 6ft in mini din. I did descover that I can use cat 5 cable and a cable end off Amazon to make the mini din cable. Now all I need is a long USB.

Cut a USB in half and use some cat5 to make the USB longer

here is my water change system..................I can change 40 gals in under 10 mins and NO BUCKETS!!!!

From discussion with o2manyfish (who ran hundreds of feet of USB for apex units at Unique Corals) at MACNA, you don't need the repeater linked above since you're just sending data -- no power. Just buy multiple 15' USB cables, some USB 2.0 A female to A female couplers and use electrical tape to secure them. You'll be good to go.
These are 15' for 1.95 with a male and female end. 3 or 4 of these and he'll be good to go.

These are great looking setups and this thread has given me lots of ideas.

Will the pumps be damaged if the pump is turned on and all of the pump outlets are closed?

I want to be able to connect a hose with a valve to the mixing station, turn on the pump, walk over to the tank and open the valve to start filling the tank and turn off the valve when done.

Rather than, walk over to the tank with the hose, open the valve, walk back to the mixing station to turn the pump on, walk back to the tank to monitor the water filling, then run back to the mixing station again to the turn the pump off.

Personally... I don't think a few seconds of the pump running without circulating water will do much... That's what I do with my setup...
