I was on the north side of mke and found a pet store on 76th and Good Hope called something Tropical Life Pets. Pretty expensive, but they had a decent amount of saltwater stuff. Anybody have any experience with this place?

there are a lot of flatworms in their tanks., they are expensive, and unfortunately are not as knowledgable as you would expect them to be.
the braintrust here on RC or in WRS is way better, and is free. better yet, we dont want to try to sell you anything
i do occasionally shop there, but only buy anything if its a good deal.

I bought a CF fixture from them before I knew anything about saltwater. Paid 200 for it when I could of got it for 80 in the net. I got it home and it didnt have the bulbs in it (the bulbs were included in the price). Had to drive another half hour to go back. I got there and was very nice, never once rude, in conveying what happened. I talked to the owner and told him of the inconvienence of driving an hour there and back. What was his response??? "You should have known it did not have bulbs in the box" Now keep in mind I just dished out 200 into his store, and he replys with that!!! I was expecting some sympathy for the hassle I went thru, maybe some store credit? Then he followed with "I wasn't the one that sold you the light, so its not my mistake" I will never go back there and give them another penny. Just thought I'd share my experiance with there pleasant owner.
