Sand, Crushed coral, or BB for SPS

I used Reefflakes and its amazing .. miles better than Caribsea and doesn't get blown by my tunzes and gyres.
However, I would do barebottom unless you are like me and the most prized possession is blue star leopard wrasse and soon to add H. Iridis or melasmapomus who absolutely need sand ..
But my love for sps is only trumped by my wrasses :D

Regards,
Abhishek

abhisek,

Yes, I ordered some Reefflakes and looking forward to not having too much bare spots. For me I like having a things like snails, hermit crabs, gobies, Deresa clams, etc. As well as providing a nice ecosystem in the tank to me its the whole charm of the having a life in all zones of the tank. In the future if I have nutrient problems I'll go BB but until then Sand is in.

BB for me! I'm starting up a 28 gallon Deep Blue rimless SPS reef and am wanting to utilize all of the glass walls of the tank (except for the front glass). Going to grow acros on the bottom glass, side walls, and back wall.

Also, going BB allows for more flow!
