Some new sticks!
Thanks mark! I really like the sarmentosa. I have mine in high light and flow right now and I'm getting a nice growth form and colour.
I just add a supplemental 16 feet of T5 lighting to my mitras light rig. I don't like how shadowed the tank seems to be with the LED's. The mitras act like large point source lighting. Don't get me wrong, I love the lights. But unlike most MH's that have a large 2' reflector, my LED's have relatively small reflectors. I will take some pictures once I get it all dialed in. Any opinions on how long I should start running them to avoid shocking the corals? Maybe an hour to start?
I have also set up my montipora quarantine tank and will start tearing all of the montipora out tomorrow.
I love seeing these "all out set-ups". Especially when its a fellow Saskie!
Wow great pictures and tank
I'm seeing a little fallout from the monti purge. Calcium rose from 450 to 505 pretty quickly. I have a little brown jelly on one of my hammer corals, plus my chalices seem to be receding a little bit. I am a little nervous but have checked my numbers and I think a water change and some patience is going to be the best medicine.
