Scott's 270 aka Project Mayhem

I am picking up a shallow frag tank as a stand alone coral QT in a couple days myself. I found red bugs a few weeks back. Nothing seems affected yet but luckily it is not something more serious and nothing new until the coral QT is oprational!

Im just really hesitant to set up a whole separate system. I know I have to though. There is too much $$$ in my system now.

Re-did some rock work as the pokerstar and mystic montipora had taken over the right side of my tank.

Beautiful shots, especially of the candy. Spectacular fish, and representative of how they look in person. Many shots I've seen of them don't capture that almost fluorescent deep blue/purple which looks so cool in contrast with the orange body.

Great thread, don't know how I've missed it for so long! I hate when I starting reading these and the OP never posts a real update after the first batch of corals go in or the tank plainly crashes. Glad to see you're still rolling. The tank is looking beautiful.

Thanks scar. I always try to be honest with my images. If I am playing around with the images I usually say as much in the post.

I see you mention Radion & T5 on your system. Did you start that way or end up adding the T5's?

haahaa thanks Nick! Smugmug is down right now and all my image links are broken. Something to do with the cloudflare hosting and virus.

I added the T5 after the fact. I never liked the level shadowing and how dim LEDs appear despite how much light they're actually providing. T5 solves both grievances. I can't speak to the direct affect on the corals/growth because I added them when I restarted my system
