Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

Amazed and ticked off at the same time. How could a young man ( I'm assuming young) created something this beautiful and yet here I am killing all my sps?

SPS God why hasn't you smiled upon me????

Wow....Amazing. I just wanted to say, that would be my dream to have a nice growth SPS.

I am curious how you do acclimation for the wild SPS.

You guys and gals in Aussie have it made. Just out of curiosity what do they charge
for lets say a 6" to 8" blue stag?

We are lucky in that respect trueblackprcula. The charge for that coral would be round the $50aus mark depending where you shop but i must admit wild blue stag is one of the hardest SPS to get to hold colour when brought in from the wild believe it or not! you might get 10 that stay brown and 1 that holds colour. I have mates that still have not found that 1 piece and they have been reefing for longer than me :)

Agreed I always have problems keeping the blue colour in stags...only with meticulous husbandry have I started to keep the colours recently

Thanks green_Lionfish :)
I've never met anyone down here that acclimates SPS, I think the way of thinking is the quicker you get it in the less stress from shipping

I have a really nice blue Aussie stag I bought wild collected and it's in the center of my tank. It's about 8 1/2" tall and when I got it was 5" inches it's starting to get thicker and has started to branch out. Hey mAtbe this summer I can share a frag with you if you like. Check my pictures and you can see it there.

Thanks Trueblack percula but I've actually been getting rid of a few frags myself mate as I'm quickly running out of room ATM. Just today I sent some of my blue stag frags to a reefing mate that lives in another state. Once I sort my computer out ill put some pics up of the growth over the last few months :)

Seriously wow. What salt mix You use ? Red Sea Pro or Regular one ? Both are Blue :) ... Did You use anywhen Tropic Marin Bio Actif ?
