Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

It's so nice seeing an update of your tank! It's looking as good as ever. I'm interested to see what colonies you decide to remove. Hope all is well with you and the fam.

Thanks Conor :)
I'm going to start by removing the big dirty purple stag that's up behind the Hystrix. I have a couple of other stags that need a really good trim because they hanging out the water.
The family and I are all well mate thank you :) just been super busy with 2 of the kids and their basketball.
How have you been mate?

Tank looks great Scott, love the large pieces.

Thank you Mark :)

This update keeps getting better and better:):)

Thanks buddy ;)

You know your tank is awesome, when you fill 5 buckets of "trims" and it still looks like a balloon seconds before it blows off:celeb2::celeb2:
Welldone scotty!
I wonder how much your daily consumptions will drop:)

Thanks Conor :)

Glad to hear you are good. Being busy is a good thing, especially when it comes to your family. I'm good Scotty, tank is trucking along and I just got back from MACNA which was a fun experience.

Wow, after all those buckets of frags your tank still looks completely grown out and amazing! Interested to see how much you take out of that Hystrix.

Dang, did you have to take bolt cutters to that green Acro? You can see where all your calcium has been going... it looks 2 inches thick.

It's was very close to having to break out the bolt cutters
It's insane how thick it is!
I'm actually considering removing it completely at the moment and making some alterations to the tank.

I'll be monitoring my supplement consumption very closely over the next couple of weeks! I've already made a small adjustment :)

Wow those colonies are massive!

Some of them are monsters

Crazy how thick those stags are!
What, no butchering of the seriatopora at all?
It's a pink monster.

Yea mate they are pretty crazy
I took a huge chunk off the back of the Hystrix already, probably about 3" all the way around the back of it. I didn't realise how far back it went until I removed the dirty purple stag!

I popped over into your tank thread and your tank is looking amazing mate!
MACNA would be awesome to go too, I'm very jealous mate! I'd probably come back broke from it I think
I took a fair bit out of it already but it still needs a lot more!

Looking insanely mature as always Scotty, a jungle of color mate :)

I nearly broke a knuckle having a finger in the wrong place when the side cutters snapped through a 3/4" stag base, i can't imagine the feeling when some of those big cuts were made lol........

Btw, with all the crazy new stuff becoming available through Christian now days i reckon it's the perfect time to do a bit of a revamp buddy.

Just a few of the buckets we took to the LFS

This is a very impressive deforestation work Scotty. You deserve congratulations on cutting those thick looking staghorns. I went through a similar exercise albeit on a much smaller scale, so I know how it feels.

Cheers

Bülent

PS. I hope you filled the empty with some water shortly after taking the pictures.

Scott, I would be up for a tank redo, only because you would have to post more and in a year it would look spectacular. I already know what this fully mature tank looks like. I am interested what new direction you might go in. I know this is quite selfish of me. But you do have to consider the new kid.
