Looking insanely mature as always Scotty, a jungle of color mate
I nearly broke a knuckle having a finger in the wrong place when the side cutters snapped through a 3/4" stag base, i can't imagine the feeling when some of those big cuts were made lol........ :
Btw, with all the crazy new stuff becoming available through Christian now days i reckon it's the perfect time to do a bit of a revamp buddy.
Thanks biggles
Yea i was pretty close to my fingers a few times when cutting through the thick green stag. I have plenty of cuts and gashes as is from the corals so I'm glad I missed them with the cutters
The changes I'll make won't be major but I think in the end I'll be able to fit 4-5 new pieces in and also be able to see the left hand side of the tank again haha
This is a very impressive deforestation work Scotty. You deserve congratulations on cutting those thick looking staghorns. I went through a similar exercise albeit on a much smaller scale, so I know how it feels.
Cheers
Bülent
PS. I hope you filled the empty with some water shortly after taking the pictures.
Thanks Bulent
It wasn't easy with some sections especially trying to remove the base of the dirty purple stag. I got there eventually but lucky I had some good help from my daughter, I'd chop bits out while on the ladder and pass them too her and she would put them in the buckets they needed to be in. She wanted to help me that much she asked for a day off school and as you can see I gave in and let her
The tank got a full 200L WC and some fresh carbon after the deforestation
Scott, I would be up for a tank redo, only because you would have to post more and in a year it would look spectacular. I already know what this fully mature tank looks like. I am interested what new direction you might go in. I know this is quite selfish of me. But you do have to consider the new kid.

Hi Marty
The tank redo has been on the cards for a while now but the problem being we have been extremely busy with new bubs and kids basketball. My plan is to completely remove the thick green stag that's in the back right corner, remove the huge blue stag on the left and keep a good chuck to replace the thick green stag, buy a few nice tabling species to replace the blue stag so that way I will be able to see the corals that are hidden behind the blue stag, also sell off some clams to free up some room on my sandbed again. I'm also going to look at a Regal angel today as I'm considering adding one
