Recently i got a sea apple and i have had it in my tank now for about three days, but ive noticed that there are two tiny tears in its skin, when i first tried to feed it phyto i noticed it did not put it arms in its moulth like ive seen when reading up on him, but today for the first time ive actualy seen him eat like i was told he would. Im very worried about the sores on his skin as i know what can happen if these guys die. Ive tested my water everything is fine and there are no fish that will pick on him so any help would be appricated.

Mine has one - even not tear, rather stretch mark on the skin, it didn't progressed in almost an year, has no bacterial or fungal growth... It seems that it doesn't bother sea apple, and nothing I could do anyway.

There were a couple of cases, poster on forums, about deadly large hole in the body (1, 2 with photo), but this was different.

Potentially could be a problem with Flat Worm Exit (link).

Other sea apple keepers fed them variety of foods, including of the animal origin (I know about R. Toonen article, tried, my sea apple closed for a month after that), to give cuke a choice. At this forum, few pages back, was post about adding MicroVert to the food, his apple lives for 2 yrs already, big apple.
