Sebae not putting down base

A week ago I bought a healthy looking Sebae and since brining it home it has sluffed off a layer of slime and had a couple of small areas to the base that had some slight tissue damage. That damage is looking much better. It is eating, not bleached and the oral disc looks fine but it won't put down residency.

I put a plastic coke bottle over it to keep my big Marron Clown away from it until it gets settled but decided today that it may just want to wander forst so I removed the bottle. Of course the Clown is back in it immediately. I really don't want the clown to upset it until it gets a little more acclimated.

Comments or suggestions?

Maroon is about 4 inches. Quarantine tank is down at the moment. My 125 has the best water quality and flow over my 55 not to mention the MH & PCs on it. I think I will leave the bottle over him for a few more days. Just changed about 10 gallons so the maroon will just have to suffer. He has even tried to move the bottle to get to the anemone.

I have a Reef Dart with lots of flow and a Tunze wave box. Think I may leave the wave box off for a few days. it may be too much.

Everytime I remove the bottle the clown wants to take over. Heck he even tried to move the bottle and at one point got under it and inside with it. Stuck a couple of nets near the anemone so as to scare the clown away until it attaches to a spot for its liking. Wave box is off for now. Anemone is eating and looking really good.

I'm experiencing the same problem with mine, so I thought I'd get in on the action. I was able to get it to hook onto a rock, but in a couple of hours it was loose again. The clowns haven't even looked twice at it, so I guess I should have gotten the condy after all. If I might add a question to this post, what are some tricks you all use for target feedings? I'm very unsure about this process and the pocket expert guide doesn't have the sebae in it.

If that sebae is in your 14g in sig, target feeding advice would be just toss a silver like shooting a hoop!

For Mike, I wouldn't change or restrict your normal flow, cause it may just move again once you turn back on.
I'd just tuck it between a couple rocks at sand bottom and maybe cover till it sets foot.
Moderate flow, strong light.
