HEy guys so i am getting very confused about the sebae anemones..... live aquaria has them listed as h. crispa but inder divers den they are h. malu. So my question is are the h. crispa compatible with percs???? If not can someone please point my in the direction of some good sites to find anemones off of.... i know about live aquaria already but they dont really have much in.. im looking for first a rbta, then a sebae or a mag thanx everyone for your help.

h. crispa and h. malu are in fact different anemones. Crispa are generally referred to as "sebae".

Percs are native to Heteractis crispa; H. magnifica; Stichodactyla gigantea. Any other host anemone is hit or miss.

Ok the thing is a had a rbta hosting my picasoo percs for 3 years and it was one of the few casualties durring as 4 day power outage ( thanks to my puppy chewing a cord and tripping the gfci) so as long as a sebae is a host im sure they will adopt it, so crispa would be a good replacement then rigth??? thanx for your help

Hey guys well i ended up getting a killer deal on a rbta locally up here in ND which is pretty rare ( got it for 75 bucks, but it came on a 4 pound rock with mushrooms too) and its about the size of a softball with great color so i wont be getting the sebae. thanx for all your help and opinions

I have never heard of fraging a BTA, but would be very interested if anyone has tried??? It has been my experience that when they are ready they will disappear into a rock for a few days, then re-emerge as more than one anemone. I would not try to cut an anemone until you have done some thorough research.
