Things are shaping up...
Folks are putting up wishlists and I've got some listings up on Fragswapper.com. Be sure to check it out!
It looks like there's going to be an eclectic group of folks attending: people who have never given reefkeeping a second thought, to middle school kids, to community members bringing their small children to see the "fishies", to some cagey reefing veterans; the whole gamut.
I'm thinking that I'll have an agenda posted on an easel for the educational/demonstration aspects. With all of the non-reefkeepers in attendance, I would be remiss if I didn't do a basic introduction to reefkeeping talk: giving folks the basics and pointing them in the right direction re. research, etc. I also thought I'd do an intermediate type of talk on the different ways to supplement and maintain calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium in a reef aquarium. This seems to be a confusing topic for some people, so I thought I would try to shed a little light.
Again, I welcome any volunteers who want to help out with a talk or demo.
Kat: I'd love to have you paint one of your reef sculptures. I'll be PM'ing you in the next couple of days to see what you need.
I'm getting pretty stoked, as this event seems like it's going to be much bigger than last year's, and I love having visitors!:wavehand:
