Secrets to fish catching?

Hoping someone will have a recommendation on secrets to catching a fish in my tank. It is a 29 gallon Biocube and the fish is a lawnmower blenny who has decided he will pick on everyone else. Too bad because he is a beautiful grumpy old man and super healthy. I even tried overfeeding with daily water changes but he is still grumpy - I think he just needs more space...

I had this issue with a pygmy angel. No way I was going to be able to get him into a net. I however was able to make a fish trap out of a pop bottle.

Put a few pieces of rock in the bottle (so it stays at the bottom) and some food, in the case of the blenny maybe put in an algae wafer. Also tie some fishing line to the bottle so you can get it out fast before the fish figures out how to get out.

I tried for a few days to get the angel in a net, this however took me less than an hour.

unfortunately he just goes in the rocks and there is little room for rocks and nets in a 29 cube... :( I might try the soda bottle thing though - maybe that and a net combined will ensure success!

It's not ideal, but you can try fishing him out during a water change. Put what rock you can into the bucket with the water from the tank & maybe you can get him that way.

I had to get out a helfrichi that way, quick little buggers they are!

Im going to try again tonight once my white lights are out and there is not sun coming in the windows - I feel kind of sad because I think he and my clown have bonded...lol
but the two of them seem to conspire to rid my tank of any other fish and I want a couple more!

Go to a tackle shop and get those tiny fly fishing hooks and a 1lb test with some mysis shrimp. I've caught my past coral beauty, mystery wrasse, freckled hawkfish and really aggressive dottyback this way, works like a charm.
