you give me the time and place and a promise that I'm not the only pulling the net...I can probably make it.

My spring break plans are from April 8-14th, and pretty much weekends after that are free...well...forever. You guys tell me time and place and I'll bring the nets!!!

I'm from the east coast of Florida and I've been over here since '98, but I basically had a kid every other year forEVER and so I really don't know the area. I used to live on a boathouse, was a first mate on a charter boat, worked on a parasail boat...etc (until I had to grow up :( ) and so this is very exciting for me. I hope to learn and teach my children to be warriors of the water (I'm so dramatic) and this is so much fun...going out to new places.

OK...so we went out for happy hour after the beach :)

You guys make plans and I'll try to make it!!!!!! Keep it within 90 minutes of New Port Richey if you can!!

I've always wanted to go there. I live here and teach marine bio this year and am about the only one in the county who hasn't been to this place. I hear it's wonderful!!! I would really like to go there! Pick a weekend in late April or sometime in May??? Preferably a Sunday because of my son's baseball games, but Saturdays can work too. Let's check the tide charts too. Usually need to find a low low tide for the best seining.

LadyFSU,

Randy and I had a great time (he didn't mind) and we would love to do it again. Thanks again for letting us join in and we look forward to the next time.

Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. They are RIGHT where people are swimming and fishing. We saw so many and then the fishermen showed up, and no one was catching anything. I saw this happen 3-4 times that I've snorkled there.

Those fish are smart!

However another 500 yards out there are fishermen there in the boats and I would think they would be catching good things because those boats are always out there. Wish I had a boat :(
