Seio size for 90 gal?

So, just in case I wind up ditching my MaxiJet mods, I'll either be going with seio or biting the bullet and starting with a single Tunze 6000 and controller. Two questions:

I seem to remember getting one opinion at some point that a tunze is too much pump for a 90 gal. Is this a fact?

If I go with a seio, would two 1100s be good? I bought a 620 which I'm disappointed with - though it does a nice job in my brute can mixing saltwater. :)

Thoughts and recs?

Thanks!

Debbie

my sios quit after one week ( both of them)
and all i had was salt water in the tank!

some have luck with them others are reminded that its a taam/rio product go with tunze

Debbie, the 1100 is ok because if it's to much, you can decrease the flow. If you do go the the 1100, be prepared, they are LARGE! I had two 820's on my old 100 and thought they were fine.
The Tunze would be a great choice also because you can dial it back some if you feel it's to much flow for your 90.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too about the tunze. My 620 is actually a reliable performer, just not the flow I was hoping for.

So, if I make the change, I think it'll be Tunze for me. :D
