September 2006 POTM --- Double or Nothing!!!

Ok, so to encourage participation this month, I offerred to let people submit 2. Not 1. Not 1 and a half. But TWO!!!! Pics!!!!!!!!

Several folks took that offer. The result is our biggest month yet with a grand total of 14 pics. Holy sweet clownfish, batman!

Holy Crapola! This is the worst POTM yet. NO! Not the pictures! They are great. The choice is way too hard. Honestly, I believe several of these pictures deserve something special.

Heck if you take out the two not-so-reef related ones, I think we have the 2008 COMAS Calendar right there!

Hehe - that's great.

On the bright side, since many of our winning pics have been low resolution, many of the calender pages will likely end up being collage/montage style. That's a bummer for the winners (get me a high resolution pic and you'll get your own (or at least more) of a page!!!) - but that is nice as we get to show off more of our clubs photography...

One interesting note. I discovered with one of our contestants this month that hotmail will atually resize pics when you send them. So if you think you are sending me pics at full resolution, make sure your email service isn't resizing.

Gmail all the way, baby. I don't know about hotmail - I THINK it is fine, as far as this is concerned...

I'd like to see a fish only (or at least the main focus of the pic be (a) fish) month. Though, I think we've got a fairly nice variety of pics so far.
