Hi all,

I missed the last two spring meeting and have not been online much this summer.

Is there going to be a September meeting and if so what date?

Still at the Zoo I guess.

Thanks all and hope everyone had a nice summer!!

No details yet or can I not find it in the forums?

Sept 15th fragging workshop at the zoo. Anything else?

Prolly not as usual... between both jobs and my daughter etc... just never seem to make it out for one reason or another.... sadly actually breaking down the tank here soon and taking a "break" for a bit.

Btw paul you came to mind the other day.,.. met a guy out at the North olmsted petland for him to pick up a meter from me. reminded me of the first time I traded corals with someone which was you what had to be what 6 years ago or so?

El Presidente is finalizing the coral list with a couple of the sponsors, and then we'll get the info posted, it's a good selection so far that I know of.

I think also that we're going to provide bags, but will have to double-check.

Wow, yeah that was a long time ago. :) I need to take a trip over to SC sometime soon, so hopefully we can hook up then.

Hi,

A good place to get bags in a company called Uline. They have good prices and their delivery is 1-2 days.

I guess I was thinking more of the freezer bags.

They are a lot chicker. They seem to be thicker than the bags that my online orders arrive in.

Looking forward to the workshop

Thanks. Since I'm new to all this, what should I bring to take these home? A cooler? Will they be mounted? I've had my tank up 2 months and these will be the first things I put in that doesn't have a shell...

You mount them yourself to rock rubble (at least that's how we did it in the past). I would bring a cooler or an insulated box to carry all your loot home in. :)

Normally there is a lot there to use, but I'm sure the board will let everyone know what to bring if they aren't going to have something. In the years since the club has been doing this, they supply just about everything except something to carry all the bags in. Some years there has been a shortage of salt water though (there are a lot of bags with frags in them to fill!). Maybe one of the officers can chime in and verify this?

I think we are actually going to bring mounting plugs for the frags, and extra saltwater is a really good idea. Stand by for all details, it will be wrapped up soon as to how it will work.

Frag Meeting

Frag Meeting

Your fee includes everything you need to frag including bags, water, glue, rubble rock, etc. . As noted earlier, just bring something to take them home in, and of course extra money for the raffle.
