September Tank Pics...

I love my tank without sand in it. After I added the remote SSB, the colors stabilized.

Im interested to see how your colors compare without now and how they hold.

Have you noticed that you use less alk yet?

I wouldn't have any finger nails left after this kind of change. Must have been nerve-racking.

What are these here:

I'm guessing the Mummy Eye is on the right.

This isn't the red you got from me, is it?

the last time i went zero substrate (5/2004), i utilized the barebottom approach and my corals lightened up and turned pastel. this time around...i plan on keeping nitrates around 5-10 and phosphates around .03-.05 while growing chaeto :).

doug, yep...i've slowed the reactor down some :).

don't get me wrong, i love the look of sand and my wrasses are upset at night now but i couldn't take the sand turning to brick any longer.

karl, it was nerve racking at the beginning and i was jaded and exhausted after 5 hours. you shoulda seen what duplicate corals i was tossing out :(.

the mummy eye is actually on the left ;)
the other pic is john's bazooka joe. the red watermelon isn't pictured.

I think Tim that the one the left is the one we got from Hector. I mounted it on live rock.

Sorry to hear about the duplicates. Things are looking good, though.

What's the green one on the right, then? Very bright? The red's okay?

thanks for the props again everyone :)

i just snapped a couple more...

karl, the one on the right is even a brighter green than the mummy eye (got it in a trade a couple months ago).

meng, its doing really good. the edges are making contact with the plug now :D.

hey karl, forgot to reply to your inquiry of the red watermelon. it was doing good for awhile, then started to recede and its about half the original size now. but the recession has stopped.
