Serial Scammer Slick William Becker

I just posted this on the Buyer/Seller feedback - its kinda an update to my previous scam thread. I've gotten more information from folks on the PA club link and got pointed to a scam this SAME guy pulled 2 years ago. When you read through the thread it clear he is doing this all over the place under a variety of names. Heres what I posted:

Hi folks. I recently posted about a scammer on this sight who goes by the user name of SPSkid01. He scammed me out of $375 for a light I paid for via paypal using the "gift" option per his request. I no longer have my $375 and no light. A user from the local PA club told me he did this exact same scam 2 years ago under the name of Armani4o3. Check out this string:

He will no doubt show up here again with a new name and scam more people. Any thoughts about what to do with this jerk? :blown:

Going to tomorrow. he has the light he sold me advertised for sale on another forum. Wonder how many times he can sell that light?:hammer:

I hope this guy gets busted before scamming anyone else and if he does scam again I hope its to a person who don't mind driving cross country for some real payback. :uzi:

I feel ur pain I got scammed a few months ago an it really has made me second guess myself when I buy things. The guy was running a Ponzi scheme with used equipment with trading and selling and finally got caught by the mods. He was living in Canada so it got messy trying to press charges. Technically it's mail fraud if USPS is involved which is a federal offense. What I have started doing is:

US seller/buyers only
Also pay for goods and pay the Paypal fees or split them on high end items
Request tracking within 24hrs I purchase

Good luck tracking this guy down!

A very painful process, but I did receive a credit this am to my paypal from the Reef Hut. A big thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions, and to WB who finally stepped up.
