You're correct. You're also inclined to comment because your tank is 21" tall. Nothing about that is shallow.

Can't say I disagree with your sentiment, acme. Even if the tank was 6 feet long I wouldn't call it shallow at all.

Come on guys, it is not that hard. We can debate what is considered 'shallow' till' the cows come home but in this particular thread the OP set the standard on what makes the cut. That said it's not like I do the math to see if every tank in this thread is to par. I just enjoy the pics.

I have a rimless 72"x16"x14" I just set up. Its got a pvc bottom and was built by planet aquariums in dallas texas. I have two maxspect razors over it and I built the stand.

72" x 20" x 18" tall (Water level 16" though).

Was going for a "Lagoon" or planted style tank. Ended up with about 10 species of macro algae and some softies. Two puffers, a Sleeper Goby, Hawkfish, Copperband Butterfly, Blue Damsel, and a Kole tang. Lighting was one 250 watt MH that was angled to shine light across the tank from left to right. 40G sump, 40G refugium, Bubblemaster 200 Skimmer, 200 mg/hr Ozone...
