Ron is my name and I spend a lot of time snorkeling real reefs and working on tiny ones in my 4 aquariums, so I'm a 'Reefman'.

I'm the senior technician at a children's science museum. My job ranges from taking care of the 560 gallon aquarium to being on our safety committee, to repairing/building exhibits.

I'm also a part time animal cruelty investigator, specializing in animal hoarding.

Ron_Reefman , they were a simple yet destructive enemy a little bit misunderstood one my think , on a side note i have always liked your avatar when i see if pop up in threads , your lucky to be able to snorkel alot I dont do it enough , i think i have left it to late to snorkel the barrier reef but in a few weeks im heading up to my favorite spot coral bay which is the lower part of Ningaloo reef i got there twice a year 12 hour drive straight from Perth WA

Mines random, I just picked a character from a book I like - The Moon and Sixpence. Charles Strickland is a boring finance guy who abandons his life to paint, it's based on the life of Paul Gauguin.

Really? You guys must be young... I'd rate (Peter Gabriel's) Genesis, Pink Floyd, Rush, and Jethro Tull higher, just off the top of my head. Hey, I like Dream Theater just fine, seen 'em in concert a couple of times, but greatest ever? Sorry. Can't get there.

Though I do agree all of those guys paved the way for progressive rock and most bands formed in the early to late 80s like dream theater have those guys to thank for that, especially Rush, I feel like Dream Theater is really the first progressive rock band to blur the lines between heavy metal and classic rock. Almost if Rush, Megadeth, and Floyd were to have a baby.

Ill always love and respect the older bands for being visionary, but the sheer technical talent in the original members of dream theater cant be touched by any band in my opinion. Ill put Portnoy over Neil Peart any day of the week, and Petrucci over Gilmoure or anyone else for that matter.
