Hello. I am going to upgrade to a 125 or 150 gallon tank soon. What sharks could go in this? Banded cat shark? Coral cat shark? I LOvE the marbled cat shark, but these get big right? How big for one of these? Thanks. Can a beginner like me keep one? Thanks guys

Anything would work initially, but all you are doing slowly or quickly killing the shark.

I once made a mistake to put a shark in my 180, which I thought was big enough especially since I hatched the egg. It ended up cutting itself over time over my rock as it turned around and / or struggled for swimming room.

In the end it was kinda cruel to watch.

Thinking about it again though in my current 700 gallon tank.

Don't go with the sharks......as AquariumKingdom said all your going to be doing is slowly killing them overtime.
Try something else. there are so many cool fish out there that are much more suited for your skill level.

I made the mistake of getting a shark, it ended up not eating, and died in about 8 days. They aren't one of the fish i could see enjoying in my tank, banded cats practically never move, at least mine did not.If you want a cool Fish with great Personality, from my experience, Lionfish, or groupers are the predator to have..in a FOWLR tank, I miss my V-Tail Grouper a lot, I also miss my lionfish too, they are both fish that you will love, that you can both keep awhile.Although, my grouper (Bill), did Hate my Yellow tang with a passion I have never seen before...Both Fun To feed!

Don't say stuff like how about a whale shark, but on a site it says sri lanka black seahorses are easy to moderate to care for. Is this true? Thanks

Thank you. I saw a California stingray at my lfs today. How big do you need for one? I hear they get 1' max. Please no smart *** answers. Thanks.

Well, with Stingrays, they Need a tank thats Minimally 5'x5'x2'.They are pretty cool, Cortez Rays, and Round Rays tend to stay small, but they bury themselves in the sand, so you wouldn't get to see them all the time.
