she wont let him in...

the female gsm keeps the male out of the nem. just once or twice in the last two month have we seen him in the nem, and even then, only at night. all day and most nights he is out.

he has started taking naps on a big rock in the middle of the tank...i know that cant be comfortable.


besides waiting for frogspawn frags to grow out...what can i do?

They really don't need an anemone. It will be fine without, and she may eventually let him in. However, you could always get it another one. But I'm a anemone addict, so my opinion should not count! LOL

The female will let him in when she feels comfortable. Just another part of the pairing process.

that stinks, cause they were paired for over month before i got them 2 months ago...the nem was new to them (was in the tank when they got here).

i figured so...i need to get him a 'couch'

Why get him a "couch"? He will eventually be let in, and if he's able to sleep where he is now, he's got to be comfortable there, or at least comfortable enough to sleep.

i've spent enough nights sleeping under trees (army) and on couches (doh) to not wish that on anyone.

what would make a 'good couch' substitute for him?
