Shelby's reef

continues to work hard
Yes and more to come
The link doesn't work. I adjusted it. so you didn't paint that inside of your stand?
Yes the entire inside, every nook and cranny is painted with this, I've also done showers with it so I know it works. Very reasonable price too 3.78gal is $50 here in Canada, I barely used half and I did three heavy coats, it dries to a rubber

Just tagging along now.

Thanks, I hope I can keep,this interesting

I'm going to be using a lot of my current equipment like my lighting which is 5 AI sol blue modules, my sump, an ATB 840v2 skimmer, and flowstar 1500 return pump, as well as being controlled by my profilux p3 with 4 pump doser
I've ordered 3 mp40wes for the 220gal DT

Underneath the 220 will be this 55gal for rock and coral frags
I will add a c2c overflow and eurobrace to it

Wow your current in wall setup is very nice. If I were you I would keep the old one AND add the new one!

Can the membrane be painted over? Or does it come in white?

Yes it can be painted over, this does not come in white, perhaps a different brand just search for "waterproofing membrane liquid"

I actually like the blue color for the underneath, once the doors are on it won't be seen:spin1:

Thanks David, I'm taking down because of moisture problems being that it is so built in there isn't enough venting, that's why I'm taking every measure with the new one to have things waterproofed, plus it's an excuse to go bigger:spin2:
The current 110 tall is narrow and high and really restricts what I can do with the rockscape, as well it's tough for corals because the ones up high fry and down lower don't get enough light.

Funny thing, the pic of the 55 was my first tank, then I went to the current 110, and now I'm building the 220, if I keep this rate up I'll need a bigger house:lol2:

My wife jokes that we built our house around the tank. In some aspects it is true with regard to the fish room and my basement water change/DI room. Our home was finished in 2008 and the tank was always a priority although I waited till last year to plumb it and water went in in Feb. Your project looks excellent keep up the good work.

Thanks for the link. How are you going to plumb that 55 gallon?
Your welcome, I'm not using the 55 any more I picked up a 40 breeder that is nicer dimensions for my space

Thank you for the kind words, I wish I had the tank in mind before I renovated, I would have planned the plumbing and electrical to differently to accommodate the tank, but just as we'll because I'm moving it now.

Wow this is really gorgeous! Nice work.
Thanks

Time for some more updates, I drilled the 40 breeder to plumb directly into the sump I made. I also made a new skimmate locker, and a water top off reservoir

I designed a way to have the drains submerged to work with bean animal but not have to move plumbing to get the filter socks out, I'm happy with the result
