Short and sweet, my 24 gallon nano

Looks great Amanda, I am in Palm Springs right now at a conference but am still checking on things, and your tank is looking sweet. The RBTA may not have the desired color at the moment, but it looks like it is possibly recovering, good luck with that. The xenia's have pretty much doubled in size it looks like, I hope they don't try to take over the left side of the tank.

Thanks RJ, I'm keeping an eye on the xenia, I won't let it get out of control.

Something spawned in my tank again, but I don't know what. It was totally cloudy this morning, like someone poured milk into it. Just like it looked last time when my feather dusters were spawning. Maybe it was them again. I threw some carbon in and checked the breathing of everyone, and everything is perfect, just spermy water again. Geez, they need to get a room!

Anyway, everything is going well. Does anyone have any pics to share? It's been a while since we haave done any pic sharing, and since RJ is out of town, he won't take up the whole thread with pics from his tank(Just kidding Wilson).

Some nifty stuff guys...
Amanda, I just added my first SPS, and clam to the system, they seem to be doing well. I hope to be going to TFP April 1st, to go SHOPPING! :D

RJ, I had to give up my snowflake :sad1: he was getting too big, and just knocking things around, not good for the SPS... He was about 18".

You guys feed DT's for your clams? How how often do you dose and how much?

If you want to check out some of my photos, pop over to my thread...

Rich, AWESOME!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! Great pics too!
I dose DT's every 3 days, 1 capfull from the dt's bottle. It feeds my clams and my pods!!!

I've been adding 15ml every 3 days for my 75g... Per-directions, thats about 1/2 dose. I have also been using Kent's MAX line of plankton, as I had gotten it before the DT's, and will use it until it's all, and then prob just stay with DT's only. As I now know a place to get DT's local.

Thanks Amanda... :)

Here is a picture of the 90g, it is just over 6 months and starting to get a bit more stable.

RJ, Did you mount your Seio to a mag float? That is a great idea. Sure beats dealing with suction cups and it makes it easier to change the position.

We left Charlotte Friday morning for Atlanta (4 hours). We stayed at the Ritz, woke up and walked to the Aquarium. AMAZING! The only thing that dissapointed me was how crowded it was. It has 6 interactive areas for kids and adults to stick there hands in the water and touch sting rays, sharks, anenomes, starfish, urchins, horshoe crabs, shrimp, and sea cucumbers. The reef display starts when you look up and curves down into a flat display in the front. It has a surge filter setup. Every 30 seconds or so it dumps a huge amount of water onto the reef simulating natural surf. The whale sharks, beluga whales and school of 50 or so baby manta rays, were my favorites. I did not do the behind the scenes tour because when we ordered our tickets they were all filled up. They only allow so many people per day for the behind the scenes tour. We did see 6 people scuba diving. Not sure if they were workers or if that is something they offer to special guests.

Flipturn, let me know what you think of the behind the scenes tour. My local reef club is working on planning a trip. Which one are you doing?

Yep, I mounted it to a large mag float with all the problems I have had with the suction cups lately.

Did you use superglue?

It was awesome - even better than the regular (public) tour, in my opinion. We were the first club to go on this tour, but I bet you guys could arrange something, considering ours went well.

Oh, and here are some pics from the tour (warning: they could be considered a "spoiler"). I'm working on posting more asap. :)

Yes, I used the superglue gel.

Great pictures Kayla, that must be a very nice place to visit.

Have your anemone's stung any near by corals?

We just got a beautiful RBTA and overnight she meandered from her solitary spot up to the top of a rock (guessing she liked the sunlight peeking throught the window this morning) and a few of her bubbles are VERY close to brushing up against some zoos. I moved the hammer coral away to prevent that nightmare but im concerned about everything else.

Once my RBTA put its foot right over top of some zoos and stayed there for a couple of weeks. Of course the zoos were toast.
