should i keep an anemone?

well for the second time this year, have an anemone that got sucked by my hob aquaclear. the first time I was able to save the rbta, this time it was too late.

ive always liked anemones and I don't know if should keep them. Im thinking if I should keep the hob filter and just get a better skimmer. (currently have a cpr bak pak). im looking into getting a reef octopus bh1000 in the future.

tank is a 40breeder and its been up for more than a year. I still have a bleached gbta nem on the tank.

If you have HO gear it is especially risky.
I personally would stick to frogspawn or hammer or similar as a host alternative, get a nem when you have upgraded to a bigger tank w/ a sump.

Yes, but keep in mind OP may have several intake tubes, and sponge becomes a nitrate sink, and a smallish tank will be especially vulnerable.
