Thanks! The last pic is a mimic about 3" long. I know I have pics of my other tangs but I guess they're not saved to this computer. I'll try to get some more of my tangs up later.

Thank you!

slobound,
I see you have a G4x skimmer getting one for my 280 and interested in tangs for my setup as well how does it perform with that bioload of tangs? Nice pictures by the way any full tank shots?

How do you take such great pics?

It's really just trial and error. I have to take about 10-15 pics to get one really good one.

So far so good. I've been pretty happy with the g4X so far. I was running the MTC HSA250 before but I'm not convinced the G4X is better even though it's a large skimmer. I don't have any complaints though with the ASM, especially after the mods (recirculation and gate valve).

Imagine the days before digital cameras.:p It would have been pretty expensive to get such nice pictures. You'd end up with a pretty big 'bad' pile and a very small 'good' pile.:D

Actually it wouldn't be too hard for me to imagine because I only got my digital camera three weeks ago. So I never even bothered to take any pictures before, and now my wife complains because I have too many pictures of my aquarium in the digital camera.:p :D

we jus got a achillies/gold rim cross at EA today in a hawaii shipment. thought id let you guys know so he can go home with someone who has a clue/big tank. not trying to advertise so dont get mad. im an employee not a stockholder :D just found out what he was from reading this thread.

Terrible picture of my fish. Never one bit of disease or agression. A few of them are about to be moved out to a 850G display - their time in my little 210G nano has about come to an end.

The all kind of hang out together like this most of the time.

That is amazing, never a disease issue with a Powder Blue and a Regal Tang, and never an aggression problem with two Purple Tangs!!!

Has anyone else tried adding a second Purple Tang into a tank?

I had a thrid purple for about a month while a local was moving. They just all get along. Food - room - hiding places. Most people forget about the food, but they need to eat to feel secure too... eat enough to grow about 1" or more per year.

I have had the hippo since it was less than an inch.

Tangs get a bad rap about being disease magnets, when they are really just more sensitive to the stupid things that their captors do. It is the fault of the people not the fish. Find a good wholesaler for a good LFS and do a good job yourself and the tangs will rarely, if ever, show signs of disease. Some of the time, the wholesaler or LFS has done the damage and they issue just comes to the forefront in your tank weeks later.

BTW - My chocolate is my favorite too.
