lol, nice pics. Actually picture i posted are couple months old. His top fins are totally white and i can see some yellow highlights on him. I guess he has a long time to go.
What corals/anemones you can keep him with? Only SPS? Does he eat any softies or lps or anemones? Is he a bully in your tank? Mine is a boss

I have almost 90% sps 5% Ricordia 5% LPS . I had large BTA that he never pay any attention to it.

How many people out there have acquired a say 4" emperor and had it grow to say 10" in their tank? I keep hearing stories that if you want them big you must buy them big cos they will not grow in your tank. On the other hand the same people say that if you buy them big they will come with all kinds of parasites and you will not be able to acclimate them to eat

Mine's only grown an inch (maybe a tad more) or so in 2 years. My French has put on about 3 inches in those two years and doesn't seem to be slowing down. Same with my Vlamingii tang. He's gotten huge in that same time. About 8-9" now. Emperor is definitely a lot slower of a grower IMO. Got him when he was about 5" now he's 6-7" and plan on seeing him hit 15" some day...I hope

When i got mine (with juvenile colors), i think he was around 3.5", is six months or so he already gain 1" to1.5" and i think he is around 4.5" to 5" and now starting to change colors.

I would still advise on getting around 4" ones if you can find them and see him colorchange and grow.

Here is my when i first got him about little over two years a go.

Was about two inches long now is little over eight.
The Yellow tang next to him is his friend that yellow tang din't grow much at all now at ten + years old only seven inches.
Any of you that have Emperors is your Emperor don't like the bright MH lights ? my stay in the rocks mostly when the MH are on but when they go off and the actinic are on he is all over the tank.

I don't have MH just PC but i haven't see this behaviour. He is out most of the time. He is a boss in my tank. I can hear his grunting noise far away from the tank.

Here is my Blueface when I got it compared with the PBT (who has also grown a little, 1 inch max)

Currently have another Juv Blueface with it, Trying to get a pair.

hey gman...very nice angels! are all these angels housed in the 180? if so, is there any aggression and which one is the king of the tank?
-nice lookin queen crazylionfish! what size is it?

Pro and Dirk,
The Bellus is in my Reef.

The Blueline and Goldflake are in my 96 gal. Also in that tank is a majestic angel, a grey velvet angel, a blueface and a hybred elbi/heraled. In that tank there is no aggresion at all and the Blueline and Goldflake share top dog.

Just a side note here I am setting up a 225 angle and tang tank and the blue face and majestic will head into it in a month or so. I am also putting a Grifiths angle to round out that tank.

The Earspot and Bluering are in the 180 gal tank with a very cool French Angel that I forget to post. There is no challenge at all with agression in that tank. Actually the co kings of the 180 are my Golden Puffer and my Dussumieri Tang.
