Show me the Angelfish!

Sorry to hear that jimdog. It must have been a hard decision to make since both are equally beautiful. Since the Bluering was too large for your tank was there any aggression towards the Blueface? So what is being housed with the Blueface now?

Okay Dirk I'll have to try that. I recently just got the queen angel to devour algae sheets. She'll eat them as long as I keep putting them in lol. But I'll try buying a product like that to see if she 'll eat the angel formula. I wish they made angel formula in sheet form not just cubes, then I could easily break off smaller pieces.

jimdogg187- I love your two angels. I to have a blueface with a Red Sea Regal.

Nice Fish!

Thanks! I would like to see some pics of your angels.

Dirk, the only aggression that was displayed was the ceremonial chasing each other from one another's favorite spots in the tank. But my Blueface grunts so loud when it mad I can hear it in the other room.

As for the fish now, I don't know what it will be housed with. I think the guy may have some Tangs and a Puffer. It was really hard to let that fish go.

Noticed that you are keeping a scribbled in a reef. How is she/he behaving? Do you think they will go after softies and riiteri anemones?

gman

you have all those angels in a 96 together??

Man, I usually hate people that do this, but I guess I will be a hypocrite today......that is way to many angels in a 96.
The blueface and majestic alone are way to much for a 96 when grown

I would hate to see a battle erupt, sickness wipe out everything, or poor waterr quality take out some of those gorgeous angels you have!!

CI.
I stated earlier in the thread that both the blueface and the majestic were on going into a 225 in less then a month. As for the rest I have done a ton or research as size habitat and other factors. The water quality is ideal. I do 10% water changes weekly. The angels that will remain in the tank are all size approiate and are not open water colum swimers. The tank is a 5'1/2" foot long. I did not go on impusle and buy a bunch of rare and expensive fish and hope that they would mesh. As is stated above the only real challenge might have been with the Goldflake and Blueline. Based on the time I spend observing both individuals that I bought I took a chance with the back up of putting the Blue line in the 180 that I keep where there would not have been a conflict if any type of aggression occured. As I found out there was none and the two school together. Bottom line is that the fish are thriving right now and I have the ability to house any of them in an alternate system in my house if anything develops. I spent nearly a year with the plan on this tank before I made a single purchase and I put the quality of life in my tanks for my fish before any other consideration. I do appricate your concern and I do not mean this post as a flame. Just a responce to your statement.

Ci and John,

The tanks that all my fish are in were between six and nine months mature when these fish went in. Again thanks for the comments but beleive me I went over and beyond in the reasearch depatmnet before I progressed. The fish have been "properly housed" the day that they came home with me. I have not lost a single fish in any of my tanks and both my fish tanks have been stable with the current fish population for more then a year. I just finsihed adding a small fish pop. to my reef tank that has been up and running with corals for over 9 months. All three tanks have thrived to the point that I can only hope that the two 225 that are in progress now will be as "hardy".

CI,
Ok now that made me laugh. Sorry if my posts came off as offensive. I think I will step off the high horse for a bit and try and get back to the spirit of the boards. I think I may have gotten a wee bit too defensive for my own good. Proabbly shold hold off on posting at 3 am with three pots of coffee in my system. Anyway have a great day all.

ahhh....thats good spirit!!

3 pots of coffee at anytime of day would make me do more than just post a little bluntly! Not to mention my bladder exploding

Work project? Midterms?

Anway, they are some awesome angels!!

:smurf:

Sohal is the "King." When the Sohal tries to get tough with the blue face, the blue face makes this wierd grunting noise that can be heard from across the room. No one is trying to hurt eachother though.

thanks! he's a pretty nice size. About 7-8". Eats Zoas but doesn't mess with clams or sps. I don't keep much LPS in the 180. Loves the frozon seafood mix and pellets.
