Show me your 20k Radium tanks?

It explains the different bulbs and ballasts. As far as other 20k with the HQI, I think just the XM. There are some 14k's that would work. Are you using an M80 ballast? You would be looking for a PULSE start bulb.

I have a blue wave 7 hqi ballast. I think Im going to try a EVC 20k. Heard it has the same internal guts as the now discontinued helios 20k bulb..

has anyone encounter a problem adding new frags to their tanks? I have my 250w radium (Bluewave 3 ballast) in a lumenbright (16" from water) and Ive found that a few frags seem to get burnt tips. Im planning on starting the frags on the sandbed from now on and then slowly raising them up. Is this normal? do others experience the same issue with certain sps? it happened to a valida and blue digi I received from a local reefer and think its from too much light seeing the stags and millis are doing great. Thoughts?

I'm using a 250w bluewave 3 hqi ballast. I was thinking using the EVC or XM 20k...

Here's my little 20L lit by 2x's 150w radiums and 2x's 24w T5 Geisseman actinics.

The tanks is still young at only ~5 months old. In a year or so it should fill in pretty well.

When showing pictures of your Radium lit tanks, it would be nice if the pictures were taken with only the Radium bulbs lit. It's hard to tell what the bulbs look like when they're supplemented. I'm not trying to be an *ss just being realistic. Thanks! :hammer:

I have the Lumatek ballast. Hold off till January and I'll let you know how I like the combination. I'll be purchasing a new bulb around the middle of the month.

No offense, but I think its more about the wb and editing than the actual lights. If you are trying to decide about a particular bulb, your best bet is to see them in person. Do you have a local club?
