Show me your best!!!

Thanks bro, so how do you like the sol blues? I almost pulled the trigger on one with the stock controller for a shallow frag tank I'm building. I really want fluctuation through out the day with a good controller.

Wish I could tell you...they're still sitting in the boxes. Except for a thunderstorm here and there they haven't seen any action yet. Having played with them a bit though I can tell you they're pretty awesome. Can't wait to see what they're going to make my zoos look like...when I get them up that is.

Here are a couple I got this weekend at our local frag swap. For now they're in my 30g under 14k MH but once my new tank is up (50g) they will be under 2 AI Sols.

Thanks! They're putting out a new head already too!

Is it true that alkanity change the colors of your zoanthids?
I haven't heard of alkalinity chaging the colors but I wouldn't doubt it. Maybe it's more of a function of them being happier at the correct alk levels? Happy zoa=better color? I know lighting will affect Zs and Ps too. I have some Mindblowing Palys that completely morphed when I placed them up high in the bright lights.

I agree with snookster I bought a 4 head Blue Hornet frag for $100.00 ( Biggest heads I'd ever seen), and the damn thing is dying in my tank ! Down to 1 stalk and doesn't even open ! I love the Hornets though!

When I shut down my 210, I let one of my friends hold on to a few colonies of high end zoanthids and palys. They ended up dying, the water tested out to near perfect. What we actually think happened is there wasn't enough nutrients in the water column.. He keeps sps mostly, and do great. But really I don't know what really happened this is only a guess...:wildone:

Very good chance. I know some that keep pristine water for their sps have to do some extra feedings in the tank in order to keep zoas.

I also have Space Monsters and they are quite prolific. I started with three a while back, now have a large colony of 25 or so. They get big as well...I love the pink sparkles :D. Nice photos of your morphs by the way.

Oh man, that sucks!!! I got a small frag of the blue hornets last year and the things are going crazy. The polyps are nice and big and the color is outstanding. I fragged them for the first time for someone who stopped by last week to see how the colony reacted. The colony didn't miss a beat :D. He says they are happy in his tank as well. We'll see how his do for the long haul though.
